Lupita Nyong’o teams up with Jordan Peele to star in her first horror film, Us

Kenyan Oscar award-winning actress Lupita Nyong’o is set to star in her first horror movie titled “Us”.

Universal Pictures has already released the trailer of the movie which is set to premiere on the 15th of March 2019 produced by renowned filmmaker Jordan Peele.

In the scary trailer, Lupita alongside her fellow “Black Panther” star Winstone Duke, star as parents to their two children whom they have taken on a vacation to her mother’s childhood beach house.

Later that night, while enjoying their stay, one of the sons spots a creepy, mysterious looking figure on the beach. The family then finds itself being haunted with more creepy mysterious looking monsters bearing resemblance to the main characters. The thriller follows Lupita’s character as she tries to do everything to protect her kids from harm.

Since bursting into the limelight in 2012, Lupita has gone to establish herself as one of the most sought-after actresses in Hollywood due to her raw talent. The 35-year-old actress has featured in movies such as “Star Wars: The Last Jedi”, “12 Years a Slave” which earned her an Oscar and “Queen of Katwe’ just to name a few.
