Kenya’s best contribution to Hollywood Lupita Nyong’o, is the star in the latest visual release from Jay-Z album 4:44.
The 34-year-old actress is among the few who have won an Academy Award. With great performances in 12 Years A Slave, Queen of Katwe and more recently Black Panther, Lupita is the muse for the latest visuals out from the chart topping Jay Z album 4:44 on the track “MaNyfaCedGod” which features James Blake.
The video that was released online August 17th has many talking on the emotional sujbect matter. The lyrics make reference to the troubles Beyonce and Jay Z have had to overcome as well as the ability of love to triumph all. The video comes to a solemn end, with Lupita reflecting on the words, ” be grateful for whatever comes, because each has been sent from a guide from beyond.”
The track reveals the complexities of infidelity and in some ways, celebrates true love. Lupita does not hold back her emotions, crying on camera. The vocals by James Blake also add to the reflective, solemn nature of the track. Fans are over the moon with the latest release, and it seems Jay Z still has more instore for his loyal legion of fans.
