Hollywood actress Lupita Nyong’o is a proud daughter.
The Oscar award winning actress took to social media to celebrate her dad, Prof Peter Anyang’ Nyong’o re-election as Kisumu governor.
“ABICH MORO! (Tano tena) Congratulations to my Daddy and THANK YOU to the people of Kisumu for their overwhelming support at the polls,” captioned Lupita.
Following her post, fellow celebs and fans alike, took to the comments to wish the 76-year-old re-elected Governor well. Oscar award wining actress Viola Davis is among those who congratulated Prof Nyong’o in the comments section.
Lupita had earlier taken to social media to wish her dad well ahead of the elections.
Kenyan singer Akothee also took to her socials to celebrate Nyong’o who she terms as her role model.
The seasoned politician has been praised for his exemplary leadership in Kisumu and that has earned him a second term as Governor. He previously served as the Senator from 2013 to 2017.
