Yesterday (18.06.19) would’ve also been Delus’ 38th birthday, and Konshens made another post saying “HBD BRO,” the post featured a music video for a song they did together titled ‘She’s Happy’.
The day of June 22nd, 2016, will forever be a sad day for Konshens and the entire dancehall community. Delus was known in the industry for his catalog of conscious singles such as ‘Another Girl’, ‘Afraid to Love Again’ and ‘Things Get Real’.
Delus, whose real name was Delmark Spence Jr, took his own life with a single gunshot wound to his head on June 22nd, 2016 after struggling with depression.
To mark the first anniversary of his death in 2017 Konshens is launching a charitable foundation in Delus’ honor that will go towards helping people battling depression.
Konshens and Delus emerged on the dancehall scene in the mid-2000s as a duo name Sojah. Delus performed in Kenya about for years ago while Konshens has performed in the 254 numerous times and as reported by The Sauce, he recently promised his Kenyan fans that he will be back soon.
