Celebrated trumpeter and producer Mackinlay is set to make history with a Guinness World Record attempt for the longest continuous trumpet performance—a 24-hour non-stop concert.
This extraordinary event will take place at Geco Café in Nairobi on January 31, 2025, starting at 10:00 PM, following his impressive 12-hour concert at the same venue on October 12, 2024.
More than just a performance, Mackinlay’s endeavor seeks to inspire audiences worldwide with the message, “No human is limited,” echoing Kenyan marathon legend Eliud Kipchoge’s philosophy. “This attempt is a journey of self-discovery, a testament to human potential, and an opportunity to inspire creatives to push boundaries,” Mackinlay says.
The record-breaking attempt has been six months in the making, involving collaboration with talented musicians, an intense fitness program, and rigorous preparation to ensure both musical and physical endurance.
