Comedian Eric Omondi is one of the most acclaimed comedians in Africa.

The comedian received two prestigious awards at the African Entertainment Awards USA (AEAUSA) held in New Jersey on Saturday (19.10.19). Omondi received the Best Comedian in Africa and the African King of Comedy Award at the event beating some of Africa’s finest like Uganda’s Salvador and Nigeria’s Basketmouth.

Omondi could not hide his joy after receiving the awards and took to social media to share the news. “The president is now king. Every obstacle, be it human or object, bow down; best comedian Africa and African king of comedy,” he said.

This is not the first time the comic has won big at the awards, in 2018 Omondi took home the best comedian in Africa award.
