Kenyans have overcome the Riverside attack and many were having fun online with the #SteveMbogoChallenge
Kenyans on Twitter are fast, a day after the fateful Riverside attack in which several people lost their lives, some Kenyans on social media shared a light moment posting their own reenactments of the Steve Mbogo challenge.
Businessman Steve Mbogo caused a stir online after he was spotted at DusitD2 Hotel at 14 Riverside Drive armed with a deadly assault rifle. The former Starehe parliamentary hopeful was armed to the teeth, he donned military boots and a bulletproof jacket.
The politician, who is a licensed firearm holder, said he was running errands near DusitD2 Hotel when the attack happened and he decided to help.
Most Kenyans, however, think Steve Mbogo was just there for a photo opportunity and thus went ahead to mimic the picture of him looking battle-ready that’s doing the rounds on social media. The hashtag #SteveMbogo challenge went viral, trending online for hours.
