Kongo Kimani, a student from Greensteads School in Nakuru, has won a scholarship for the 2014 foundation programme at Taylors College in Perth, Australia.
Kongo received his certificate from Deasy Sartika, the Regional Marketing Manager of Taylors College and Jane Mburuti of Australian Education Consultants (AEC). AEC arranges Australian university, college and secondary school education for East African students.
“We interviewed many students during the recent Australian Higher Education Fair which was organized by AEC. We are pleased that you will joining us in March and we are sure you will work hard in the foundation programme so that you can study in the prestigious University of Western Australia (UWA),” said Deasy.
Kongo said it has always been his dream to study Business and Philosophy in Australia.
“I am so excited to be going there and to have made my parents proud. I thank AEC student counselors who advised me on applying for the Taylors College foundation scholarship and for arranging my travel to Australia. I cannot wait to start the course and I promise to earn good grades to study in UWA.”
AEC has placed over 8,000 students in Australia during the last 14 years. Throughout the year, the organisation’s consultants assist students wishing to study at international colleges with the admission process, visa counselling, accommodation and travel advice. They also alert students on the availability of scholarships in various institutions.
