Victoria Kimani is not one to shy away from making headlines, and her latest collaboration with BET International Act Award winner Sarkodie is a big winner. The track dubbed ‘Wash It’ has earned her high praise even beyond the African continent.
‘Wash It’ which was released March 7th, 2019 has garnered over 200K views and has blown up abroad earning her airplay on various radio stations including BBC1Xtra. Taking to Instagram, the Chocolate City signee shared her excitement over the appreciation for her latest release. She wrote “So grateful! My single #WashIt ft @sarkodie is getting super LOVE at @bbc1xtra Thank youuuu” Kimani also went on to co-host the Afribeats Weekend show with notable BBC1Xtra host Yasmin Evans.

During her time in London, Kimani has also visited Pulse 88.0 FM for an interview with Dan Blake. She’s also made time to tour the city visiting some of the capital’s hotspots including London’s art district Shoreditch.
According to an earlier report by The Sauce, East African girl Kimani took to the Gram to tease the release earlier this year in February 2019. The two remained tight-lipped over their creative partnership prior to the release, before she revealed on her Instagram. According to behind the scenes footage shared on Sarkodie’s Instagram account, the duo has worked on a couple of tracks and ‘Wash It’ is only the first of two releases.
The “China Love” singer has released several tracks in 2019, collaborating with the Tanzanian legend AY on the track ‘Loving You’, with more recent releases including the highly successful ‘Swalala’ and the Stella Mwangi collaboration ‘Number One.’
