Tanzanian Diamond Platnumz released the line up for his upcoming Wasafi Festival and no Kenyan artist is on it.
Over the last few days, Bongo superstar has been announcing the list of artists who will be performing at the anticipated Wasafi Festival Dar es Salaam edition slated for the 8th of November 2019. This comes after the official announcement of the event where he had invited rivals Ali Kiba and Harmonize to join in the Wasafi bandwagon.

Kenyan artists are conspicuously missing as the ‘Kanyaga’ hitmaker is widely acclaimed in Kenya with many praising his musical prowess. Also, Kenyan artists like Sauti Sol have a huge fanbase in Tanzania so Diamond would definitely have a list of Kenyan stars that he can pick from to join the lineup.

Not only has the hitmaker worked with Kenyan artists like Victoria Kimani and Akothee, buthe has also performed at major Kenyan events like Koroga Festival and held his Wasafi Festival in Nairobi in 2018. In 2017, he released his most successful album yet dubbed ‘A Boy From Tandale’ in Nairobi. The father of four is also currently dating Kenyan radio presenter and rapper Tanasha Donna Oketch.
The omission of Kenyan artists on the Wasfi Festival Dar es Salaam edition puts into perspective that Kenyans have love and appreciation for foreign artists as well as their crafts but in those foreign countries, Kenyans are not regarded the same way.
