KCA University (KCAU) Vice Chancellor Prof Noah O. Midamba has been decorated The International Award on Outstanding Contribution to Education in Kenya and Africa by the Advisory Council of World Chancellors & Vice Chancellors Congress in Taj Lands End, Mumbai, India.
Prof Midamba was awarded for his contribution in spearheading the review of university admission and placement system that he believed “discriminated against students who did not meet the set threshold, denying them a chance to proceed with higher education”.
He is the brains behind elimination of the Joint Admission Board (JAB) and creation of Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS).
He has also been given an opportunity to recommend any other education professional to the secretariat and any women leaders for World Women Leadership Congress & Awards scheduled on February 14-15, 2015 at Lands End Mumbai.
Prof Midamba previously served as the member of the National Steering Committee on the Policy, Legislation and Institutional Framework for the National Values System for Kenya.
