TV personality and social justice activist Janet Mbugua has taken a strong stance against gender-based violence in a new post.
In the wake of the grave allegations surrounding her estranged husband and his twin brother, the vocal TV presenter has seemingly addressed the volatile situation that saw her name get dragged into the matter. Taking to Twitter, Mbugua took a strong stand against gender-based violence saying she is against it no matter who it is coming from.
“I am sadden by increasing incidents of Gender-Based Violence. Over the last decade, I have joined my voice to efforts to #EndGBV. I condemn all forms of GBV irrespective of who is involved and will continue to speak out against it,” she affirms.
She goes on to authoritatively say that the law has to prevail on whoever is responsible for gender-based violence: “We have laws in Kenya and justice must prevail.”
Mbugua’s name hit the headlines earlier today after reports of Eddie and Paul Ndichu allegedly assaulting two sisters and a man surfaced, backed by a vide that has been in circulation. Activist Boniface Mwangi first broke the news, revealing that one of the lady victims in the alleged assault sent him a message.
