One of Jussie Smollett’s attackers has been on the TV show, Empire.
Following the homophobic attack on American singer and actor Jussie Smollett, it is possible that one of the attackers has been on the FOX drama series “Empire.”
As reported by the CNN, Chicago Police Spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said that one of the two men investigators have questioned as persons of interest in the alleged attack on actor Jussie Smollett has appeared on the show “Empire,”
Apparently, the men are Nigerian brothers and were questioned by police after flying into O’Hare airport from Nigeria on Wednesday evening. Police said they searched the men’s apartment two nights ago. A law enforcement source with knowledge of the investigation said that Uber and Yellow Cab were helpful in tracking the men’s whereabouts on the night of the attack, the report continued.
Smollett, one of the stars of “Empire,” claimed that he was attacked early January 29 by two men who yelled “racial and homophobic slurs.” Smollett alleged that one attacker put a rope around his neck and poured an unknown chemical substance on him before running away.
Police previously released surveillance images of two people they said were wanted for questioning.
