Comedian Eric Omondi and baby mama Jacque Maribe are in the headlines..again!
After the back and forth between the comedian and media personality over allegations of being a dead beat, the comedian clapped back with an ultimate response.
Omondi in a statement on his social media pages said that he is not even sure that the child he has been taking care of, albeit partly, is biologically his.
A shocker as the revelation was in itself, the comedian went on to explain in explicit detail the events that led to him being the former Citizen TV political reporter and anchor’s supposed baby daddy.
The events of the night he alludes to see another media household name get recruited into the mess that has now blown social and news oulets up: TV personality Sam Ogina, who he says was dating Maribe at the time.
“So we met at Radio Africa in 2012. I was working at Radio Jambo and Jacque was working at Kiss TV. So one Random night after a Radio Africa Staff Party and after afew bottles of whiskey and wine glasses Jacque and I happened. It was really a one night thing because she was dating KTN’s Sam Ogina at the time. WE USED PROTECTION!!!” He started, clearly not holding back.
“After two Months Jacque tells me she’s Pregnant!!! I immediately ask her how since we used Protection??? She then tells me “It doesn’t matter the mother always knows who the Father is and that I am the Father!!! During the entire Pregnancy nothing happened and we barely saw each other. Roughly 4 months after the baby was born Jacque called me and asked me if I would help or be part of the baby’s life,” he continued, further saying that Maribe turned down his request for a DNA test.
“I asked her for a DNA test so that I could comfortably be part of the baby’s life and SUPPORT fully. She got very offended and Refused my request. For 7 seven years I have begged Jacque to allow us have a DNA Test and she has CONTINUALLY refused!!! I dont mind supporting the child but if you want me to be FULLY PRESENT and SUPPORTIVE, if you Want me to be a FATHER. Then we have to do the RIGHT THING!!!!” ended his explosive reveal.
The funnyman had earlier on posted a picture of him and controversial singer Miss P, insinuating that he had knocked her up and that they were expecting their first child together, which led to social media blowing up with reactions.
Many were convinced that it was nothing more beyond his constant publicity stunts. Sure enough, Miss P has today (03.11.2021) released a new song titled ‘Baby Shower’.
He had alluded to knocking her up and deciding to taking responsibility, to which Maribe responded, insinuating the comedian was a deadbeat.
“Responsibility? @catewamaribe come I can’t speak (laughing emoticons). 7 years of responsibility,” read Maribe’s sarcastic comment, as she sought her sister’s attention on the post. Social media users quickly caught wind of the comment and had Maribe and Omondi as the most topical names, with many pointing out that Maribe was alluding that Omondi is a deadbeat dad to their 7-year-old son Zahari.
As the reactions continued, Maribe sought to address the irresponsibility speculations with a lengthy post on her Instagram page. “I have absolute love for this here son of mine, fruit of my womb that I wanted. And I’m blessed to be custodian over him…Now, a lot of people have asked me to be quiet about what the real story on the ground is, I respect that,” she began.
But I also ask that you respect me enough to be really real. I wouldn’t air any dirty laundry. A lot of my real friends love him, and us, he’s such a charming person. My family adores him.
So, all said and done, and you can read in between the lines if you want, I’m hopelessly in love with motherhood. And as a single mum doing everything on her own, my goal is to raise a brilliant person, as he already is. I love my son, I’ll stand by him, any day, every day,” she continued, pretty much confirming that she takes care of their singlehandedly.
This came as a surprise as just a few weeks ago, the two seemed to be on the best of terms, after she intimately narrated her journey to motherhood, speaking highly of Omondi, who would respond lovingly and post the same picture.
