How to party hard and safe during these COVID times

People toasting drinks in bar

It is party time because the bars and clubs are open woohoo!

If you are like me, then I guess you were excited about the president’s speech. We have all been curled up in our houses and with our families during the lockdown and quarantine this year that we really don’t have a social life anymore.

The loud music, dancing, making merry, making friends in the club and bad decisions are some of the things about partying that we all miss.

If you are planning on hitting the clubs this weekend like myself, then below are some ways you can keep safe during these COVID times.

  1. Do not leave your drinks unattended.

Apart from it being dangerous because you don’t want anyone spiking your drink , This is a common way of catching COVID, someone touching your glass or drinking from your glass when you are not looking. Do not leave your drink on the table, dance with it or let a close friend keep an eye on it.

  1. Carry disinfectant wipes and sanitizer.

Sanitization is the world’s norm currently due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

Now apart from just sanitizing because of COVID-19, it is only hygienic to do so. Use your disinfectant wipes and wipe your seat and your table, you don’t know who was there or even if it was cleaned properly, be safe.

  1. Limit conversations.

According to wired, Long conversations in close contact are believed to play a key role in the transmission of COVID. Talking loudly, laughing and singing can release up to ten times more particles than a single cough. With people dancing and breathing quickly, it is also possible they inhale more of the virus-laden droplets that persist in the stuffy air of a club.

Just say hi and go back to your table or talk while wearing your mask. Yes, you can wear a mask at the club, it’s your safety we are talking about here.

Remember that you can have fun while still being safe! Now let’s go PARTYYY!!!!
