It is December and man aren’t we spending. From cab rides to take-outs, hosting parties to fun gateways with friends and family we are chopping that mullah!

Plus to top it all off, there are events lined up for every other weekend so it is parte after parte only this time literally.

Truth be told, is all fun time until it is isn’t when one is stuck running on fumes with a blinking bank account come January.

Which begs the question; how do you keep afloat all through December with all these needs and limited cash with saving in mind and cater for your needs in January.

The answer, smart partying and here’s how.

1. Carpool

See cab rides can be considerably pricey, so alternatively, do a carpool with friends.

Similarly, one could choose to entirely ditch the cab and exclusively use it when getting from the event as this usually is late in the night for both safety and convenience.

2. Pregame

Have food and drinks in the house before going out. Why?

Snacks and drinks are ridiculously priced at events. Hence a pregame sees that costs are minimised by almost half as now you do not spend as much.

3. Free drinks

Drinkcember is filled with parties and get-togethers like the end of year parties which mostly have free drinks and you can drink on the company’s or someone else’s tab.

Take advantage of such parties to avoid spending loads of money to party it up.

Other ways to party your way through December and survive January include; taking advantage of the numerous sales and discounts this festive season this will save you money that will come in handy next month. It is also very vital to take care of your most important bills like rent and fees before spending it all in December.
