Four of the most common bad habits

Everyone has a guilty habit or pleasure that seems impossible for us to shake off.

From nail biting, bingewatching Netflix and stuffing yourself with KFC chicken, these are some of the most common bad habits by people world over.

1.Junk Food

This is mostly among the students and the working class. Have you ever been to town and bought some greasy chips? Maybe just because you could smell them from your office or when you were just walking. This is a dangerous habit that can cause life-threatening conditions in the future high cholesterol, diabetes, and even a heart attack.

2.Screens

Half of the world’s population is addicted to smartphones as well as other electronics.

Many of us spend most of our time glued to a screen. Whether you’re watching something on Netflix, playing video games, scrolling on your twitter or Instagram your eyes are glued to a screen. The average person spends approximately 2hours and 24 minutes on social media every day.

3.Swearing

Swears have become like a second language. People even great each other through swears. This is a challenge facing people of all races. And it doesn’t help that the arts use swears in music, films, and tv shows which makes it even harder to stop swearing.

Another habit that comes close to swearing is the frequent use of words like “Ummm”, “so”, “like”, “as in”, in our everyday conversations.

4.Biting Nails

This unhygienic habit that people have especially when one is stressed. You could be stressed at work, the school even by family. For others, it could be a nervous habit that when they are anticipating something like an interview. They end up biting their nails.

For others nail biting can be a condition that is associated with Dermatophagia which is a psychological condition in which a person compulsively bites, chews, gnaws, or eats their skin. It often affects the skin around people’s fingers.

According to an article, other common bad habits includes, cracking joints, skipping breakfast, playing with hair and snacking late at night.
