Former Nairobi Diaries cast member Mishi Dorah has appealed for help after several days in jail following her failure to settle a Sh 150, 000 bill at a popular city joint.
The controversial reality TV cast member, real name Diana Clara Ojenge, appeared before a Kibera court where she was charged with eating and drinking at club Golden Ice Bistro on Mombasa Road and later failing to offset the bill.
Dora order allegedly entailed two chicken breasts valued at Sh 3000, a cocktail (Sh 2000), two Coke bottles (Sh 500), mineral water (Sh 400), 3 cans of redbull energy drink (Sh 1650), six bottles of Belaire Lux (Sh 75,000),and seven bottles of Hennessy VS (Sh 70, 000). She was allegedly partying with a group of friends, but all hell broke loose when it was time to pay for the food and drinks. Dorah reportedly the club management that a supposed bank mishap was rendering it possible for her to make a transaction. It was after that she was escorted to her house by some employees from the club, but she still provided no money.
After the ordeal, she would then ask the bar’s management for time a few days to clear the bill, but their efforts to contact her were unsuccessful as she would not pick calls. She was reported to Akila police station, traced and arrested by police officers.
Her former castmates Pendo and Bridget Achieng have offered support with the former asking followers to contribute towards the accused’s bail and the latter promising to stand with her in spite of their past conflicts on Nairobi Diaries.
