The world is full of weird things and rat meat in burgers in Hawaii is one of them.
A burger chain in Hawaii has closed a Honolulu restaurant for cleaning after a video showed a rat being cooked on the grill.
Teddy’s Bigger Burgers has closed the location and fired two employees who appeared on a Snapchat video.
The president of Teddy’s Bigger Burgers Richard Stula said: “We are horrified that a former teenage employee would conduct themselves in that way and make such a video of which we are investigating its authentic.”
In June 2018, A 34-year-old Kenyan man, James Kimani who sold cat meat to be made into samosas by unsuspecting food vendors for more than six years was jailed for 3 years.
Kimani admitted slaughtering more than 1,000 cats and selling the meat to street food traders and hotels in Nakuru, after identifying “a gap in the market”.
Kimani was arrested by police who saved him from being lynched by an angry mob, who had caught him skinning a cat near the Nakuru Provincial General Hospital.
