Truecaller, the world’s largest collaborative phone directory, announced today their recruitment of Kenya’s leading male fashion blogger, Franklin Saiyalel, as their first Kenyan Brand Ambassador.
As a blogger and creator of Kenyan Stylista, a popular fashion blog, Franklin extends his creativity of the hottest fashion trends, brand experience, footwear, travel, music, and people that sparks his interests and passions.
“Truecaller chose Franklin because of his dynamic understanding of networking, the Kenyan people, and also his passion for trendsetting,” said Lindsey LaMont, head of the Truecaller Brand Ambassador program.
Truecaller got interested in having a brand rep after our correspondent Crystal Olisa wrote a review of the app and how she is using it. Truecaller got more downloads from Kenyan after the review.
As a brand ambassador, Franklin will improve the Kenyan user experience and help introduce the phone directory app by becoming the middleman between Truecaller and Kenya.
“Having a brand ambassador in Kenya will help us discover how people in that region use Truecaller,” says Lindsey “We are very excited to welcome Franklin to the crew.”
Truecaller has over 20 million users worldwide, and has become a number one app in Kenya in recent months. It is a free application for smartphone users, and is available for Android, iPhone, BlackBerry, Windows Phone Symbian s60 and s40.
