Czar’s sudden disappearance has always been a disturbing matter for not only his friends and family but also his legion of fans.
The young man who gave Kenyans the hit track ‘Amka Ukatike’ has finally been found. Disappearing at age 17, the one-hit-wonder, has always been a discussion point for lovers of Kenyan music. Many have speculated of his whereabouts after reports surfaced that Abdulkarim Mohammed disappeared in 2006, a week before seating for his Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education examinations. He was last seen on Friday, October 13th, 2006, after he left home to visit a friend. A teary-eyed father appeared on local television pleading that whoever may have true information on his son, should come forward. He was rumored to be with an Italian woman, who catered for his every need. Others also claimed to see him in Eastleigh. However, none of these claims bore any fruit in finding him.
Well, many years later a family member has unveiled some disturbing news.
According to a post on Twitter, Joyce Lorna under the username ‘Mamacats’ revealed that the 2-time Chaguo la Teeniez winner has been in hiding. She wrote :

With many thinking that he may have disappear to avoid sitting the national examinations, others made light of the situation pointing out that Czar would not have to sit KCSE should he return. Another tweep noted that he should reconsider siting the exams after Matiang’ i’s amendments.

Sadly, some question the truth behind this recent confession. Some have reservations over the timing, and motives of Joyce Lorna also known as Mamacats. To verify these claims many have tasked Lorna with providing recent pictures of the beloved Kenyan artist; as some struggle with the reality that they once mourned is actually alive and kicking.
I really hope this is true. Felt really sad and sorry for the dad when I watched some documentary and he was crying with so much pain.. Really hope he's alive and well.

However, it is not all conspiracy theories and unverified claims as it seems that some family members linked to Czar have reconnected, thanks to the controversial tweet. Well, known twitter pundit Potentash is also related to Czar, and has found that the family is much larger than they may have thought.
Czars is my cousin as well.
