Nicki Minaj and Ex-Little Mix member Jesy Nelson have teased their upcoming collaboration.
This follows weeks of speculation that the two have a project that is underway, following several clues that pointed to that fact. Jesy Nelson only follows 2 people on her Instagram, Minaj and rapper Diddy.
The song dubbed Boyz, reportedly samples Diddy’s Bad Boys for Life, and Diddy is set to make a cameo in the video too.
This explains the song’s delayed release, as the Diddy inclusion was a last minute move.
The snippet, posted by both Nelson and Minaj, shows Jesy in what looks like a dance rehearsal backed by a group of male dancers. Minaj then raps “It’s the UK baddie and the Barbie” towards the end, basically confirming that she features on the former Little Mix band member’s debut single.
Nelson exited Little Mix after being in the group for a decade, citing mental health struggles that stemmed from she calls constant comparisons with former bandmates Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Perrie Edwards and Jade Thirlwall.
Nelson and Nicki Minaj last worked together on Little Mix’s hit single Woman Like Me.
The group was the winner of the UK version of the hit reality show X-Factor in 2011.
