The relationship between singer Nviiri the Storyteller and YouTuber Elodie Zone seems to be getting more and more confusing.
Earlier in the week, social media sensation Elodie Zone came out to accuse her alleged boyfriend and hitmaker of being abusive towards her. She also claimed that she was breaking up with the crooner as she was tired of putting up with an abusive man.
‘’I want to make it clear that I am not dating Nviiri. We just met in Coast, but the reason that I left him is the same reason that has come up as we are ‘respectful friends,’ she quipped. ‘’There are videos of him slamming me against a table and leaving me and my baby cousins at a club past curfew, ‘’ she went on to unearth.
Days later, it turns out these were the words of a drunk woman. According to Elodie
‘’Nviiri and I came to Coast with our friends to unwind, relax and make peace with each other. When I made my post, it was fueled by tension and an afternoon of a few too many drinks. Neither of us thought it would be blown out of proportion the way it has been. Blogging sites and bloggers have also begun to spread information and this is affecting our careers and family lives, ‘’ posted the former radio girl.
Nviiri the Storyteller also took to social media to say his piece saying that they were still together.
In a recent interview with a radio station this morning, the celebrated Sol Generation vocalist rubbished claims that they are no longer together. “We are still together. Have you not seen that we are still constantly posting each other on Instagram? That should be an indication that we are still very much together. Do not make me post her just right and ruffle every naysayer’s feathers, ‘’ he said.
The Sauce had reached out to Nviiri’s camp for his side of the story. The singer’s manager Moses Kachero was hesitant to let us in on any information, citing privacy as his reason for the reservation. ‘’Thank you for reaching out. This is a private and sensitive matter, we would like to handle it the same. Kindly bear with us, ‘’ he precisely affirmed.
The Sauti Sol owned record label Sol Generation which Nviiri is signed to also took to social media to address the ongoing saga saying that they do not condone any form of mental, physical and emotional abuse.
The record label also added that they will make sure that both Nviiri and Elodie see a specialist in order to take care of their life and mental wellness.
Earlier this year, the couple seemingly announced their relationship status when Elodie played Nviiri’s love interest in his single ‘Niko Sawa’ which is off his EP titled ‘Kitenge’.
