Ed Sheeran is known for his musical abilities, but it seems that he has more than just one talent. The ‘Perfect’ crooner has just sold his first publically sold art piece for £40,000 to support children and young people with disabilities and life-limiting illnesses.
The piece was an abstract painting created by flicking house paintings, a creation named ‘Dab 2 2020’ in honor of his father. Other Ed Sheeran collectibles auctioned included handwritten lyrics to his song ‘Perfect’, his childhood Lego and a £3 ticket to his first-ever gig at Framlingham’s Royal British Legion club.
According to reports the colorful abstract painting is part of the Ed Sheeran: Made In Suffolk Legacy Auction.
The auction was organized with help from his parents to support youngsters in his home county, including redeveloping a playground in Ipswich.
The auction was part of a week-long exhibition in Ed Sheeran’s hometown of Suffolk. The event was held at Ipswich’s Christchurch Mansion, offering the public a more comprehensive take on Sheeran’s rise to stardom.
