Canadian rapper Drake continues his spectacular reign as one of the greatest rappers in modern times.
He has historically charted 9 songs on the Billboard Hot 100, a feat no artiste has reached before in the history of music.
The rapper’s Certified Lover Boy album earned him the biggest entry sales when it debuted, dethroning Taylor Swift’s 2020 studio effort Folklore.
Now, the rapper’s impressive resume is adding yet another landmark achievement after charting 9 of its tracks on the Hot 100, overshadowing Michael Jackson’s Thriller, Janet Jackson’s Rhythm Nation 1814, Bruce Springsteen’s Born in the USA and Drake’s own 2018 album, Scorpion, all of which charted 7 tracks each.
Sitting atop the chart is Way Too Sexy, a Young Thug and Future collaboration, which makes Drake the first artiste in history to have top 5 debuts on the chart. He now ties Ariana Grande for the most No. 1 debuts in history, as they both have 5.
Drake also placed all 21 of the records on the album on the Top 40 of the Hot 100. Shortly after dropping, CLB became the most streamed album in the history of Apple Music and Spotify, and dethroned Kanye West’s Donda on the Billboard 200 chart.
Earlier in the year, Drake’s EP Scary Hours 2 debuted all 3 of its tracks on the top 3 of the Hot 100. At this point, the rapper might as well give himself the moniker Certified Chart Lover.
