A Domino’s worker has made the fastest pizza in Europe for the third year running.
Zagros Jaff has been crowned the winner of the company’s annual competition – which calls for the best pizza chefs to flaunt their kitchen skills and put their culinary knowledge to the test – by hand-crafting a fresh pizza in just 27 seconds.
The competitors are judged on their ability to make three large 13-inch pizzas each topped with 40 slices of pepperoni, 142g of mushrooms, 198g of diced cheese and Domino’s signature tomato base.
Jaff said: “I’ve been making Domino’s pizzas for over 10 years, and to win this title once again makes me really proud. Customers don’t always realize the skill that goes into making a Domino’s pizza, from hand-stretching the fresh dough and leveling the sauce with my own personal spoodle, to perfectly placing the fresh toppings.”
According to the London Post, Domino’s has rewarded the talented pizza chef with a limited-edition trophy – a solid gold cast of his magic hands. Inspired by the Hollywood Walk of Fame, the cast of the three-time, undisputed pizza making champion’s hands will glow at the Portsmouth Fratton store where he trained and perfected his craft for over 10 years.
