Capital FM’s top radio jockey Dj Joe Mfalme is levelling up this 2021.
The award-winning mixmaster has announced a big job move this Tuesday (19.01.2021) to thousands of followers on his social media platforms. After 12 years of working at Capital FM Kenya, he is leaving the only radio station he has ever known.
According to the press release from Mfalme and his team, he thanked his fans and the entire Capital FM Kenya fraternity for making him into the man he is today.
The statement read in part, “I would like to thank the Capital FM Kenya family for giving an opportunity to a young man from Meru who has dreams and ambitions of entertaining people through the art of deejaying.”
The statement continued, “I have made some of my best memories working for Capital FM Kenya and I will eternally be grateful to them for the opportunity awarded to me.”
According to sources from his team, the 33-year-old Radio and TV deejay will soon be joining a radio station that is part of Radio Africa Group.
Dj Joe Mfalme whose real name is Joseph Mwenda catapulted to fame following the Pilsner Mfalme competition in 2008 and has since become one of the most sought after deejays in Kenya.
He has grown his brand and craft over the years, won a multitude of awards, played at the high profile events including the Koroga Festival, connected with millions of people through music at various events, parties in and out of the country. He has also worked with top brands like Safaricom, Guinness and Coke Studio Africa just to mention a few.
As reported by The Sauce in 2020, Mfalme’s virtual lockdown party ‘Club Quarantine’ alongside Dj JR and Dj Stretch made waves online and easily became the most viewed social media party during the Coronavirus lockdown with thousands of viewers every Saturday.
