Surprise! Social media influencer and singer Bahati’s wife Diana Marua is the newest female rapper in town.
The popular influencer who has adopted the new moniker Diana B, has released her first single dubbed ‘Hatutaachana’ after a star-studded music launch on Sunday 28th November 2021.
The song plays off from her hubby Bahati’s track, ‘Mutaachana Tu’ with Diana reiterating to naysayers that their relationship is rock solid because they have created something that no money can buy.
The mother of two goes on to compare her relationship with the hitmaker to that of music power couple Beyonce and Jay- Z. She also takes shots at Rihanna and Chris Brown’s violent relationship, as well as Lilian Ng’ang’a’s failed relationship with Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua.
Diana B spent a pretty penny putting together her first music video but she has a long way to go in perfecting her craft. While the song is catchy and the colorful visuals are captivating, the artistry of it from the songwriting, creativity, to the vocal prowess is wanting.
Fans on social media are divided over the surprise song release, while some are encouraging Diana to take over the music industry, some unimpressed fans want her to stick to influencing and content creation.
The song has garnered over 15,000 views on YouTube an hour after it’s release.
