The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival makes a comeback this year, after two years of cancellations owing to increased in COVID-19 disease in 2020 and 2021.
This year’s festival on the weeks dating 15-17 and 22-24 in April, with Kanye West, Harry Styles and Billie Eilish as the headliners. It was initially announced that rapper Travis Scott would headline this year’s Coachella, but the organizers announced from the festival all thanks to the Astroworld tragedy that saw the death of 10 attendees last year and that culminated in multiple lawsuits against the Sicko Mode rapper.
Coachella returns this year at Empire Grounds, Indio, California, two years after Ariana Grande’s headline performance in 2019. Travis Scott, Frank Ocean and Rage Against the Machine had been announced as the 2020 headliners, but it looks none of the acts will return to this year’s comeback. Ocean’s headline performance was moved to 2023 as it was reported last year.
Other notable performers at this year’s festival include Doja Cat, Megan Thee Stallion, Ari Lennox, Karol G and rappers 21 Savage and Lil Baby. Here is the full list of the bill.
This will be Ye’s second time headlining Coachella since 2011, and Harry Styles’ first. Billie Eilish performed in 2019 and made history as the youngest person (20) to perform at the festival.
