Yesterday (June 16th) was Father’s Day, and as such many took to social media to share just how much their fathers truly meant to them.
They say “any man can make a child, but it takes a man to parent a child”. And it is in this same vein that fathers, especially in this day and age, are highly recognized, respected and lauded for their contribution to making a more accepting and loving home and society for their children. Several celebrities took to the photo-sharing app to share some epic throwback pictures of their fathers, grateful for the bond they share.
Here are a few of the most touching Father’s Day tributes:
First-time dad Khaligraph Jone aka the O.G took to social media to share a more vulnerable side to himself. The ‘ Toa Tint’ rapper spoke about his humble upbring and thanked his late father for the sacrifices he made for him. He wrote, “Mr. Omollo Senior. 1959-2012, The Realest OG I’ve ever known, he was there when It All Happened, I wish I had more clear pictures of him but we lost Everything we had after they kicked us out of The house we were staying including the Dope Pictures we had taken Together back then, Thank You so much Dad.”
