CUEA, Langata Campus: on Friday 29th May 2015, The Catholic University will hold its 31st Graduation ceremony at its Langata Campus (main campus) from 9.30 a.m. The Chief Guest at the graduation will be Hon’ Prof. Judi Wakhungu, the Cabinet Secretary, Environment, Water and Natural Resources.
Present to confer the degrees and diplomas will be the Chancellor of the University, His Eminence, Berhaneyesus Cardinal Souraphiel, Archbishop of the Metropolitan Diocese of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and the Chair of the University Council, His Lordship Bishop Maurice Muhatia, the Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Nakuru.
The Chancellor is also the Chair of the Association of Member Episcopal Conference of Eastern Africa (AMECEA), which owns the University.709 graduands will be awarded Diplomas and Degrees at the ceremony.
The Catholic University of Eastern Africa (CUEA) is a world-class University that aims at producing transformative leaders for Church and Society through promoting excellence in research, teachings and community service.
The University has a state-of-the-art Learning Resource Centre that won the 2014 Greenest Building award, and is also in a strategic partnership with lBM, hosting the lBM the 12th research lab in the world and the first in Africa.
More recently, the University signed a deal to start offering standardization courses, the first courses in English speaking Africa.
