Cardi B’s new single has been delayed due to coronavirus.
The 27-year-old rap star – who is one of the world’s best-selling artists – has revealed that fans will be forced to wait a little longer to hear her new material due to the global health crisis.
Responding to a fan’s request for an update on her new single, Cardi – who released her debut studio album, ‘Invasion of Privacy’, back in 2018 – wrote on Twitter: “It’s delay due to the virus”
Cardi delivered the update shortly after admitting she is “a little scared” about the coronavirus outbreak. The rapper said in an Instagram video: “Government, let me tell y’all motherf***ers something, I don’t know what the f**k this coronavirus is about.
“I don’t understand how that s**t was from Wuhan, China … I ain’t gonna front, a b***h is scared. I’m a little scared. S**t got me panicking … a lot of you motherf***ers think it’s a joke, like I was thinking, right?”
The ‘Bodak Yellow’ hit maker even claimed she’d started hoarding supplies to make sure she’s prepared.
Her statement went viral, spurring on a viral parody that included her ad lib. The track has been seen on various social media sites like YouTube, Instagram and Twitter; providing comic relief during these sad times.
Cardi posted the video hours after it was revealed that the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival had been postponed until October due to the outbreak, as reported on The Sauce. She has continued to make headlines globally due to her comical take on the global pandemic.
Mother of one, Cardi has even shared she might be interested in taking social distancing and quarantining to new levels for the sake of her family’s health. The former reality TV star shared she is debating between moving to the Caribbean Islands or Antarctica, as she waits for the worst of the virus to be over.
Meanwhile, Lady Gaga has also decided to self-quarantine and “not hang out with people over 65” amid the coronavirus crisis. The 33-year-old pop star has taken to Instagram to reveal how she’s coping with the global health crisis and to offer some supportive words to her followers.
The United States of America is currently on lock down with schools, offices closed in a bid to reduce the risk of spreading the deadly coronavirus. President Donald Trump declared a state of emergency on Friday 13th March which has only served to indicate how serious the government is taken the threat of infection.

There have been 6,400 deaths worldwide, according to an estimate from Johns Hopkins University, which is tracking cases reported by the World Health Organization and additional sources.
