Rita Ora froze her eggs when she was 24.
The 30-year-old hitmaker has said she’s certain she wants to be a mother in the future, and even took steps to have her eggs frozen twice, once six years ago when she was 24, and once more recently.
She said: “I did my first when I was 24. I don’t want to feel the pressure of, ‘Oh gosh, we’re running out of time’. It’s not fair that we have to feel that, you know? And men sort of go around town, like, not thinking about it.”
Rita is currently romancing 39-year-old video director Romain Gavras, whom she was introduced to by friends shortly before the UK was plunged into lockdown amid the coronavirus pandemic in March.
And the singer played coy when asked if she had found love with Romain, as she said: “I don’t know yet. I don’t really know, I don’t know how it feels. How does anyone know anything?
“No, let me correct that. I don’t want it to be like, ‘Rita doesn’t know if she’s ever been in love.’ I’ve had amazing moments with amazing people. But in anything you just want to be happy. I guess if love is happiness, then, yeah.”
The ‘Girls’ singer, 30, also previously enjoyed romances with the likes of Calvin Harris and Rob Kardashian, but has admitted she barely even remembers being linked to the ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ star.
Asked about the romance, she said: “Oh, I forgot about that. It was very short-lived. I was so young. It was great. It was fun. It was very, very fun, I guess. That’s all I remember.”
Rita insisted she isn’t a “genius in love”, and isn’t sure if dating fellow celebrities is the right move just because they’re “easier to meet”.
When asked by The Sunday Times’ Style magazine if she would recommend dating famous people, she said: “I’m not a genius in love. But it’s easier to meet them, isn’t it, because of the world you move in?”
