The case of Ringtone against blogger Robert Alai may not take place today, as had been earlier slated.
The musician made quite the spectacle after showing up at the Kibera Law Courts in an ambulance, flanked by medics. He a had attended Alai’s plea hearing, after he alleged the latter assaulted him last Friday.
The two were involved in a physical altercation on Friday last week that turned physical on University way. Numerous videos circulated on social media showing the controversial gospel singer with a bruised face atop his Range Rover. Detectives attribute the scuffle to the two accusing each other of obscuring each other on the road.
A hopeful Ringtone’s desires, however, were not met as the Office of Public Prosecution recalled the file for further perusal.
Alai is accused of assaulting Ringtone with a wooden club and hitting his car, allegations that saw him get arrested and detained at Kilimani Police Station. The musician has called on the Director of Public Prosecution and Inspector General of Police to hasten the process. He claims he has spent about Sh 500, 000 on medication thus far.
