Tracee Ellis Ross is a mama’s girl and she won’t deny it.
The ‘Blackish’ star celebrated her iconic mother as she turned 75 yesterday (26.3.2019). As first born out of five children, Tracee led celebrations to honor her mother and one of the world’s most celebrated performers. She took to Instagram to share an image of herself in a t-shirt with the writings”I’m Gonna Win.” Paying homage to her accomplished mother, Tracee went on to encourage her followers to buy the shirt. According to People Magazine, activism apparel company Phenomenal Woman printed the iconic shirt commemorating Diana’s 75th. The proceeds from the sale of this shirt benefit the non-profit Higher Heights which supports black women in political spheres.

With an outpour of ‘Endless Love,’ Ross celebrated another year around the sun in style with a star-studded party with high-flying celebrities including Berry Gordy Motown Records’ founder, Mogul Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, Queen Beyonce as well as reality show favorites Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian. The party went on late into the night as Beyonce sang happy birthday to the former Supremes lead, as the crowd present fawned over Diana’s effortless smile.

Diana Ross was the driving female force behind modern Motown music, according to People. Ross was recognized by Billboard in 1996 as the female performer of the century. More recently, she was honored during the Kennedy Center Honors, which recognized her contribution to performing arts, as well as at the 2019 Grammys, where she urged the crowd not to ‘be lazy.’
