Vera Sidika sure knows how to get all eyes on her, a few days after she unveiled a new dark skin tone, she has now released her second song titled ‘Mimi’.
‘Mimi’ was released last evening (11.07.19) after the bootylicious bleached socialite created a lot of controversy on social media with her different, dark skin tone. While many loved the new ‘black barbie’ look, others were not fooled by the fake ‘skin darkening’. Turns out the skin darkening was only for show as reported earlier by The Sauce.

In the new song, Vera delves into her identity and perception saying whether black or light her skin tone does not identify her.
“Logic can get you from point A to B, Imagination can get you everywhere. Mimi is my new single depicting the essence of audacity in life,” read the YouTube description.
However, the skin changing concept is not new as Jamaican singer and ‘Love and HipHop Atlanta’ star Spice who has a very dark skin tone created a buzz last year with her ‘skin-lightening’ which turned out to be a stunt for her song ‘Black Hypocrisy‘.
This is not the first time that the entrepreneur has used controversy to gain traction for a new project. Last year, just after her messy public break up with singer Otile Brown, Vera shocked everyone with the release of her debut single ‘Nalia’.
‘Mimi’ has over 90 thousand views on YouTube in less than 24 hours. The video was directed by Nezzoh Montana and the audio was produced by Ilhaji.
