‘Best Mix of Music’ Capital FM to launch new hit show

‘The Best Mix of Music’ Capital FM to launch a new show this week.

The new show dubbed ‘Hits’ will offer listeners the best of both worlds of music and entertainment, with some interesting segments set to keep listeners engaged and thoroughly entertained. The new show is scheduled to begin broadcasting live from 7th March 2019, with the hosts set to being unveiled then. Offering an exciting mix of lively music and the latest trending topics in entertainment, the show is set to bring fresh engaging music and content for listeners across the +254.

Speaking to The Sauce, Program Controller Michael Waithaka said the new show will run weeknights on Monday to Thursday from 7-10 pm; targeting Kenya’s urban youth. The ‘Hits’ show hopes to re-ignite the culture of appreciating local and global talent, spotlighting the latest music in Kenya and beyond. Among the new features ‘Hits’ will bring to the table includes the new segment Instapopping, which is a deep dive into who’s making headlines on the Gram. Fans should expect great music, captivating bunter and an in-depth exploration of current trends in Hip Hop and Dancehall.

Known for offering programming that has a local perspective with a global outlook, Capital FM hopes to refresh a couple more shows within the course on 2019. Speaking about Capital FM’s plans for radio, Waithaka mentioned, “Our audience should look out for more from Capital FM as we seek to refresh other shows and maintain our place as the Best Mix of Music.”
