Singer Bahati has come out expressing regret over keeping his baby mama Yvette Obura and their daughter Mueni secret before finally getting their identity out of obscurity.
‘’This is another opportunity to ask for forgiveness from my daughter and her mom for keeping you as a secret and away from the public for almost two years. It is was not what I wished for, but because of what I lived for – Gospel music. It should not have been the case as it is not godly to be a pretender, ‘’ he emotionally expressed himself in the post, attributing his choice to keep their existence under wraps to the point he was at in his career at the time.
He further admitted to being impressed by the relationship between his daughter’s mother and wife. ‘’Your relationship with my wife and the positivity you both portray is not only an inspiration to many families out there but also to me, ‘’ quipped the controversial singer. Proving he has been keeping tabs on Obura’s whereabouts and what she is up to lately, he stated that he caught wind of the fact that she has a new man and asked to be invited to the wedding.
Obura would later to respond to the post. ‘’If we talk forgiveness, I forgave you a long time ago, not for me, but for Mueni; for her to grow in a peaceful and loving environment. You are and have been an amazing father to Mueni and I believe that is all that matters. May your cups never run dry, ‘’ read her response.
The two have been known to coparent peacefully. Obura has on occasion been seen hanging out with Bahati’s wife Marua. On Mother’s Day earlier this year, Marua surprised her with goodies, a gesture that lit up the internet and had everyone talking.
