Kenyan songstress Avril is cooking up something new.
The mother of one has been a mainstay within the Kenyan industry working with the likes of Marya, Ommy Dimpoz and even Tanzanian star Ben Pol. Now after a 5-month hiatus, this Kenyan beauty has returned with a new track. Working in collaboration with Conglese crooner L Rice the self-proclaimed “Self Made Man,” it’s clear Avril is keen to impress fans. Teasing the creative patnership on Instagram the two are set to release the track dubbed “Kitoko”.
The track’s writting credits include Jibril Blessing, Avril Nyambura herself and the Congolese crooner L Rice. The track was mixed, mastered and arranged by Patrick “Saint P” Mbaru. The duo of Avril and L. Rice has linked up with Linksasa Universal to published and distribute the music; a bold move that could help them reach a new fanbase.
Avril’s most recent release “In Love” garnered over 400,000 views on YouTube and featured her young toddler. As her fans anticipate her latest release, it is clear that Avril is ready to experience with her sound, to offer her audience something new.
