Nairobi, Kenya is arguably one of the favourite destinations in Africa for international celebrities and popular personalities to visit.
This time around the green city in the sun is playing host to Grammy award-winning American singer and actress Ashanti Shequoiya Douglas.
The 40-year-old New York native landed in the capital a few days ago and has been sharing her experiences on social media since her arrival.
The ‘Only U’ crooner took to Instagram Stories sharing a preview into her stay at the luxury boutique hotel Hemingways in Karen.

The beautiful philanthropist who once dated rapper Nelly has been living it up in Nairobi. According to her social media accounts, she is truly enjoying all the Nairobi has to offer even going on a game drive at the Nairobi National Park earlier today (8.12.2020). The Grammy winner who is accompanied by some friends took pictures on the infamous Kenyan savannah, as buffaloes grazed in the plains behind her.
Her visit comes a few days before her most anticipated Verzuz battle against fellow RnB singer Keyshia Cole on Saturday, December 12th 2020.

According to a social media post by a friend who is accompanying the sultry singer, they are exploring Africa but it is not clear if she is just here for leisure or business.
The 40-year-old songbird recently travelled to the Carribean island of Antigua and Barbuda to celebrate her birthday in October alongside close family and friends.
Ashanti joins the long list of international celebrities who have visited magical Kenya. Some of these celebrities include, American RnB singers Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato, Canadian YouTuber Lilly Singh as well as supermodel Naomi Campbell.
