American R&B Legend Joe To Headline Rhythm & Brunch Nairobi In December

American R&B star Joe, best known for timeless hits like ‘I Wanna Know,’ ‘Don’t Wanna Be A Player,’ and ‘If I Was Your Man,’ has been announced as the headliner for the upcoming Rhythm & Brunch concert in Nairobi on December 5, 2025.

The announcement came shortly after the recently concluded Rhythm & Brunch Nairobi August 2025 edition which was held this past weekend at the Ngong Racecourse.

The 52-year-old Grammy award winner’s upcoming performance isn’t his first connection with Kenya, his maiden performance in the country was back in March of 2012 at the Bomas of Kenya Auditorium. The concert was hosted by Tusker Lite and Capital FM as part of the Tusker Lite Experience.

Joe is among the many iconic international acts who have performed in Nairobi over the years, joining the ranks of artists like Akon, Wyclef Jean, and Boyz 2 Men. His return underscores Nairobi’s reputation as a vibrant stop on the global tour circuit for R&B and soul music.

The buzz around Joe’s visit comes at a time when old-school R&B is enjoying a massive resurgence in Nairobi. Across the city, themed brunches, DJ-led parties, and nostalgia-fueled concerts have become a staple in the social calendar. These events are often designed specifically for millennials who came of age listening to the soulful ballads and slow jams of the 90s and 2000s.

In line with this movement, Rhythm & Brunch promises to be one of the year’s most anticipated events. Early bird tickets have already gone on sale but details remain scarce. At the time of publishing, the event organizers have yet to confirm the concert venue or announce any additional performers.
