Akothee, Madam boss is in the middle of yet another controversy over her dressing.
Kenyan singer Esther Akoth popularly known as Akothee is at it again. She is the subject of controversy after she posted risque photos from her performance at the Abebo Music Festival.
The mother of five posted a series of photos online after her performance wearing a white bodysuit-like outfit paired up with white boots. The outfit is similar to what American singer Beyonce has previously worn in her performances such as the Global Citizen Festival in Johannesburg, South Africa last year.
In one of the photos which Akothee captioned “Position, call your area chief, keep your respect to yourself don’t waste it on people who don’t put food on your table”, the singer is laying down on stage with her legs spread apart and two of her female dancers holding onto her boots.
While some applauded her boldness, some of her fans condemned her actions and called on her to be a role model for their children.

Kenya Film and Classification Board boss Ezekiel Mutua took to social media to blast the controversial singer who posted a stream of ratchet photos online that ended up angering Kenyans in general. Mutua agreed that Akothee might be talented, yes, but her attention seeking tendencies should concern Kenyans at this level.
“Kenya has got talent but as long as we keep celebrating this kind of madness, our entertainment industry will never grow. Akothee is talented but the filthy and stupid stunts she has to pull to remain relevant should concern all of us. What’s worse is to see grown-up men and women celebrating this scatological obscenity in the name of entertainment. We have lost it as a nation,” he said on his Facebook account.
Popular blogger Robert Alai and Akothee’s arch enemy responded to the photos with insults saying that the singer was a 50-year-old disgrace and a complete pig!
The “Sweet Love” singer was seemingly unbothered by the backlash and posted that this had been the best performance that she has ever had since the beginning of her career. She continued to post that her dad is her number one fan and her mum has issues with her dressing but she got tired of asking, so even her haters will just have to get used to it.

This is not the first time the award-winning singer has been the topic of discussion over her dressing. Last year, Akothee shocked Kenyans when she wore a leopard print bodysuit to her One Africa Music Fest performance in London. She was pictured with one leg up in the air, something that had a lot of tongues wagging.
