With the middle of the semester fast approaching, it’s important to bring your “A” game for the series of tests that are yet to come. Apart from putting in more time in the library, it is even more important that you retain the knowledge that you gain.

Here are 4 foods that will improve your memory.

1.Dark leafy vegetables

Sukuma wiki may seem like just the go-to side dish for the menu staple for Ugali but this leafy vegetable is high in vitamins and antioxidants that help your retention of information as your prepare for the endless tests this semester. Including broccoli and spinach can help vary the vegetables that you include in your diet.

2. Avocado

This is the quick and easy fix for any boring meal. Many have praised the ability of avocado to make food taste that much better. But just because it delivers creamy goodness, does not take away from the fact that the avocado is jam-packed with Vitamin E and Vitamin C that helps reduce the risk of Alzheimer’s.


Give your brain a boost before you sit for the test with some tasty nuts. Peanuts, cashews and even macadamia nuts can help increase your chances of remembering important information before a big test. Taking in nuts and seeds is important. Every little bit helps when it comes to getting an A in your examinations.

4. Peanut Butter

Breakfast can get boring on a college-goer’s budget but switching it up with peanut butter is well worth it.
