Cardi B and Offset have called it quits.
The 26-year-old rapper has explained she and the Migos rapper – who married in September 2017 and welcomed daughter Kulture into the world in July – “grew out of love” but are still “really good” friends and business partners.
Cardi shared a video on Instagram titled “There you go … peace and love.” In the clip, she said: “So everybody been bugging me and everything and you know I’ve been trying to work things out with my baby father for a hot minute now. We are really good friends and we are really good business partners– you know he’s always somebody that I run to, talk to, and we got a lot of love for each other but things just haven’t been working out between us for a long time. It’s nobody fault I guess we just grew out of love but we are not together anymore.”

1. Offset disrespected Cardi B one too many times.
Cardi B has been public about her relationship struggles. In the track “Be Careful” released in May 2018, many speculated that the track was centered on Cardi’s relationship with her husband Migo member Offset. Cardi B reveals that indeed Offset did cheat on her, disrespecting their relationship for women he did not have a care for. The track continues to lineout how he was creeping on Instagram, all while keeping in contact with exes. She raps, “You even got me tripping, got me looking in the mirror different thinking I’m flawed because you ain’t consistent.”
Based on their previous relationship struggles Cardi B may have called it quits, opting to move on.
2. The internet is to blame.
Based on a post on The Shaderoom, the couple received a lot of undue attention. Though both are public figures as part of the music industry, their relationship became a major focus after Offset’s memorable proposal onstage. Recently posting about their relationship, Offset blamed the unsolicited attention and bad energy from the blog site The Shaderoom.

3. Their egos are too big, to be in the same relationship.
Both Cardi B and Offset have huge careers in music. With Cardi B being among the most successful artists of 2018, the “Bartier Cardi” crooner has featured on Billboard’s Top 10 artists, as well as been featured as Apple Music’s Editorial Pick for Song of the Year for “I Like It.” Offset’s group is also doing well, however not as well as Cardi. Could it be that egos clashed as Cardi’s fame and skyrocketed in 2018?
