3 Bongo musicians who have been smitten by Kenyan ladies

Bongo star Diamond has a new catch from Kenya, but this not first time a bigtime Tanzanian artist has dated from Kenya.

The news of Tanzanian artist Diamond Platnumz dating Kenyan radio presenter Tanasha Donna Oketch has spread on the interwebs like wildfire. The “Kwangwaru” singer recently flaunted having a good time with the Kenyan babe in a series of Instagram posts at Mtwara beach.

Tanasha is not new to the limelight as she has in the past dated hotshot actor Nick Mutuma and even appeared on Ali Kiba’s song “Nagharamia”. Tanzanians on social media have since flooded Tanasha’s timeline saying she is beautiful, calling her their in-law by virtue of dating Diamond and welcoming her to Tanzania.

Simba’s previous relationship with Ugandan socialite Zari Hassan ended on Valentine’s Day 2018 amid claims of cheating and siring a child with Tanzanian socialite Hamisa Mobetto.

However this is not the first time a top bongo artist has been in a relationship with a Kenyan, early this year when “Mwana” singer Ali Kiba married a Kenyan beauty from Mombasa, fellow Tanzanians bashed him for not choosing to marry a fellow Tanzanian while Kenyans on Twitter complained that Tanzanians are ‘stealing’ their women.

King Kiba, 32,  and Kenyan wife Amina Khalef have kept a low profile after getting married are reportedly expecting their first child together.

Back in the early 2000s Tanzanian musician Ambwene Allen Yessayah popularly known as AY, dated Kenyan singer Cecilia “Amani” Wairimu for three years. They even got to work on a song together called “Kings and Queens” also featuring former Tanzanian beauty queen Jokate Mwegelo. Early this year the “Zigo” hitmaker married his girlfriend of 10 years from Rwanda, Remy.
