NAIROBI, Kenya, November 10 – Francis Kahata and Aboud Omar scored a long-range strike each as Kenya Police beat Ulinzi Stars 2-0 in a Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Premier League match at the Police Sacco Stadium in Nairobi on Friday evening.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kahata got his name on the scoresheet in the 57th<\/sup> minute, latching onto a loose ball outside the penalty area to fire into the top left corner past a helpless Stephen Ochieng\u2019 in the soldiers\u2019 goal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Omar then ensured the three points \u2013 and the bragging rights from the law enforcers\u2019 derby \u2013 when his scorching freekick in the 70th<\/sup> minute found the top corner once again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking after the bad day in office, Ulinzi tactician Anthony \u2018Modo\u2019 Kimani blamed a blunt attacking force.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOur offensive was very blunt even though we managed to create chances for ourselves. Our defence did quite well in limiting their penetration into the penalty area and that\u2019s why they resorted to the long range shots out of which two found the net,\u201d Kimani said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The win takes Afande<\/em> to ninth on the standings with 14 points, leapfrogging their opponents of the day, who drop down to tenth with 13 points.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the Ruaraka Grounds, Ian Omondi scored in the 3rd<\/sup> minute before Alfred Tanui added another at the death to give Talanta a 2-0 win over Muhoroni Youth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Omondi latched onto an Augustine Kuta assist to put coach Ken Kenyatta\u2019s charges in the lead before KevinTom Machika assisted Tanui for the second one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Elsewhere, it was a floodgate of goals at the Bukhungu Stadium as hosts Kakamega Homeboyz thrashed Sofapaka 5-0.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stephen Opoku opened account for Abana Abeingo<\/em> at the half hour mark, slotting home a Eston Omengo pass before Brian Eshihanda connected with a Kevin Amwayi pass in the 40th<\/sup> minute to extend their lead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eshihanda was on the mark again, three minutes later, to collect his brace as Sofapaka\u2019s old boy, Ambrose Sifuna, scored the fourth at the stroke of halftime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although coach Ezekiel Akwana\u2019s charges tried to plug their leaking defence in the second half, there was still room for one more goal from Chris Masinza in the 57th<\/sup> minute after some selfless spadework by his brother, Enock Masinza.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following the hammering, Batoto Ba Mungu have slumped to the bottom of the standings with seven points as things threaten to go from bad to worse for the 2009 league champions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
