\nMONTREAL, Canada, June 9- Lewis Hamilton will face no further punishment for his outburst at the Monaco Grand Prix, the head of Formula One's ruling body, the International Motoring Federation (FIA) has confirmed.<\/p>\n
Frenchman Jean Todt, president of the FIA, said he had received a personal letter of apology from the 26-year-old Briton, who drives for McLaren, in the aftermath of his tirade against the stewards.<\/p>\n
Todt said: "I could have asked the judicial court to address the problem but we never officially opened the case and he went with his father to the stewards to apologise.<\/p>\n
"He wrote to me and it was between him and the FIA. Maybe it would have been a better decision to send him to the judicial court and ban him for six Grands Prix or something.. But for me this thing is over."<\/p>\n
During his outburst, Hamilton jokingly suggested he was being victimised because he was black, making a reference to the comic character Ali G.<\/p>\n
