The deal with the two-lap phenomenon will see the two-time African and Continental crown-holder work on an initiative dubbed \u2018Protecting your Playground Champion\u2019 in his second local endorsement agreement after he starred in a Kiwi Shoe Polish advert.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am very pleased to partner with Safeguard antibacterial soap as it is supporting a cause that is close to my heart. Outdoor play is important in nurturing talent in children who must also ensure that they maintain a high level of hygiene,\u201d Rudisha who set the men 800m world record of 1:41.01 in Rieti two years ago stated in his unveiling.<\/p>\n

Rudisha, who will be captaining the Kenyan Team to the London 2012 Olympic Games, will also support the product\u2019s efforts to promote hand washing with soap especially among children before and after play.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn my village, I have noticed that when playing, children put their hands in the mouth and even after playing they rush to eat without washing their hands. It is for this reason that I urge Kenyans, especially our children, to ensure that they wash their hands before and after play,\u201d the gold medal favourite in London added.<\/p>\n
