Starlets spank Burundi to book slot in CECAFA final

NAIROBI, Kenya, Nov 23 – Kenya’s Harambee Starlets spanked Burundi 5-0 to romp into the CECAFA Women’s Challenge Cup final to be played on Monday in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

The Kenya Women’s team got their goals from Gentrix Shikangwa who scored a brace to lead the top scorers chat while skipper Dorcas Shikobe and Mwanalima Adam netted a goal each.

“I am happy with not only the result but also the performance of the team. Our focus is now on the final, and I am confident that we will come home with the trophy,” Head coach David Ouma said after the match.

Starlets will now face the winner between hosts Tanzania and Uganda who are set to battle in the second semifinal.
