NAIROBI, Kenya, Oct 26 – KCB Football Club saw off Zoo FC 2-1 at the Kericho Stadium to climb second in the Kenyan Premier League as the league entered the seventh round on Saturday.
Former Sony and Gor Mahia forward, Enock Agwanda opened the scoring two minutes after kick-off before winger Ian Motanda doubled the lead in the 48th minute that proved to be the winner.
The hosts netted a consolation two minutes after the restart after a goalmouth melee saw KCB fail to defend well from a corner.
The slim victory saw the Bankers under the tutelage of former Harambee Stars head coach and Gor Mahia assistant coach Zedekiah ‘Zico’ Otieno sit second in the standings on 14 points, one behind leaders and defending champions K’ogalo who have two matches at hand.

In Awasi, hosts Chemelil who resumed to play after dishing out walkover last weekend, lost 1-2 to visitors Kakamega Homeboyz to rise third on the log.
Shami Mwinyi and David Odhiambo were the scorers for the Kakamega based side with David Simiyu scoring the lone goal for Chemelil.
In other results, Sony Sugar dew 1-1 with Kisumu All-Stars at the Awendo Green Stadium, Nzoia Sugar picked a 1-1 draw against Kariobangi Sharks while Ulinzi Stars edged out Tusker 1-0.
